Because there's never more chaos than there is grace.

I’m just a girl, writing to her friends, asking you to like her (and her writing.)

If you know the movie I’m obliquely referencing, you are my friend.  If not, you can still be my friend, but you need to watch the movie.

I’m many things:  pastor, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend.  Most importantly though, I’m one who loves God trying to figure out this thing we call grace. These are the writings that document that journey.

I’ve chosen the title graceamidchaos because my first choice was taken.   But also because my life is chaos.  As the pastor of a medium-sized church, my life is full of busy-ness.  Juggling has become something I’m very good at (can that be a spiritual gift?!) but wish I didn’t have to do.  Being from a large family helps-because you get used to the chaos of life early on.  There is ALWAYS some kind of drama going on.

The definitions of amid:  (1.) in the middle of; surrounded by; among: to stand weeping amid the ruins.  2.) during; in or throughout the course of.)  remind me that while chaos may be inevitable, so is grace.  And that Grace is always around the chaos—-right in the middle of it, calling for us to come home.
